This is a specific example in that it describes how to add a subquery to a query using an example of a sample query that you can formulate using the predefined categories and properties that are already predefined and shipped together with your SMW+ installation.
  1. Go to the special page Special:QueryInterface or if you are using the WYSIWYG editor, click on the Query interface button in the WYSIWYG toolbar -this button has a small question mark and a small arrow and is located on the lower right section of the WYSIWYG editor toolbar.Proceed to define your query
  2. Click on the Add Category menu and add the Category as: Project
  3. Press Add
  4. Click on the Add Property menu and add Property as: Project member
  5. Activate the Show in results checkbox.
  6. Add restriction as subquery by activating the Subquery checkbox.
  7. Click Add or Update - this opens up an empty Query definition window which lets you define your subquery. Proceed to define your subquery.
  8. Click on the Add Property menu again and add property as: Birth date.
  9. Activate the Specific value checkbox under Restriction
  10. Set Property value as: greater(>=)15 July 1972
  11. Click Add - you should now see your query's result in the Result section and its tree in the Query as tree section
  12. Press the Ctrl+Alt+Space key combination to activate the autocomplete feature.
