When viewing any page on a MediaWiki wiki, you'll find three main navigation elements:
- The sidebar that is to the left gives you access to important pages in the wiki such as Recent changes or Upload file.
- The top of the page has links which are often refered to as tabs. They are related to the page that is currently displayed .i.e. its associated discussion page, the version history and most notably the edit link.
- At the top right corner, you'll find user links.
- If you are visiting the page as an anonymous user, you will see a link that lets you create an account or log in. The two pages are identical.
- If you are logged in , you should see a collection of personal links, including links to your user page and your preferences.
